So, not only is Becky the new voice of Jenny Craig… She’s also going to be the announcer for the Grammy Awards on February 10th. Now she just needs to book the Academy Awards show and she will have locked up the virtual Grand Slam of voice-over (Emmys, Grammys, and Oscars). A trifecta, if you will (and I will!). In slightly less exciting news (though still cool) she’s going to be announcing the next Celine Dion special. Not sure if I’ll be watching that one.

After a long weekend wedding in Cleveland (images to come soon!) I’ve finally had a chance to work up the images from Kendra and Jan’s wedding at the Lodge at TorreyPines. I was excited when I first took a brief peek at the images before I left town, but now having seen them all I’m downright giddy! I hope Kendra and Jan will be too. I met Kendra about four years ago when I shot her older sister, Robyne’s, wedding up at Firestone Vineyard. In those four years I think the Way family is responsible for referring at least 10-15 weddings to me either directly or indirectly. At this wedding I had FIVE brides including Kendra. Crazy.

That’s right, my lovely wife just returned from a voice-over session today in Los Angeles where she recorded four TV spots and two radio spots as the announcer for the new Jenny Craig campaign starring Queen Latifah.  Keep you fingers crossed that this turns into a very long and happy relationship with Jenny Craig.  I guess Kirstie and Valerie have lost all the weight they could manage.  This was Becky’s first booking through her new LA agent, Vox, so we’re really excited!  You can hear Becky’s demo reel on her website at www.rebeccariedy.com.  You go girl!!!

I can’t say I’ve had the most relaxing holiday this year. Between the wedding below and the portraits that follow, I’ve been keeping pretty busy. I must admit, I’ve been having a great time doing it and I owe it all to my super cool clients. Enjoy…

About two years ago my dad referred me to yet another of his students at USD. Whether she was grade grubbing or truly liked my work, Jenay Llewelyn was kind enough to hire me to photograph her family portrait. We had a great shoot at her parent’s house in Newport Beach and I remember thinking back then that somehow I HAD to photograph Jenay’s wedding whenever that may be. Well, that whenever turned out to be last weekend. She and her fiancé Tom tied the knot in an intimate holiday ceremony at the home of his aunt, who just happened to live about two blocks away from her parents in the same beautiful development. It was a quick little shoot for me, but in just three hours I think we managed to make some gorgeous images and tell a very sweet story of their wedding day. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed capturing them.
