Estancia La Jolla: Hotel and Spa
There was a whole lot of Bruin pride and Kappa Kappa Gamma love in the air along with the crisp bite of an early autumn day. Okay, it was nearly 80 degrees at the Estancia in La Jolla, but still, the other things were really there. Despite the balmy conditions, fall tones ruled the day, from Lauren’s sash, to the brides-babes dresses, to the BEAUTIFUL flower arrangements by Adrianne Smith Floral Design. There were plenty of laughs and tears during the ceremony, which would have been SRO were it not for the quick actions of wedding planner extraordinaire, Rachel Peniche, who’s claim to fame this day was that there were no fewer than SEVEN of her brides (and 9 parents of the brides) in attendance. Following a close second was yours truly with four brides. I can’t tell you how cool it was to have Lauren, Natalie, Ollie and Lindsay all there. All four are TRULY among my favorite brides (my own Becky being number one of course). As always, the Heroes were there to rock the house from the beautifully choreographed first dance (nice one Lauren and Brent!) to Gwen to Frank to the B52s. Thanks to Lauren’s parents for such amazing hospitality and also to all the hard working vendors who make my job so easy. Enjoy the photos!
