A Tropical Evacuation
The Wyndham Resort at Sugar Bay
St. Thomas, USVI
October 25, 2007
Although Laurie and John didn’t know it when they chose the Wyndham resort at Sugar Bay in St. Thomas USVI, but they couldn’t have picked a nicer spot for yours truly to spend my evacuation from the fires in San Diego. So, with my wife and sons safely up in scenic La Canada, just north of LA, I made my way to the Caribbean. And, although I didn’t see any pirates, I did meet a bunch of REALLY fun people including Laurie and John and ultimately felt much more like I was on vacation, rather than working. The wedding day brought a few harmless rain showers, but, then again, how could you tell when the humidity made it feel like you were in a sauna all day anyway (a quick shower in the middle of the reception made me feel like a new man!). Weather concerns aside, the day went off without a hitch and we made some great photos. We even managed to work a rainbow or two into a couple of shots. I hope you like them!
