Welcome to johnriedy.com, the online home of John Riedy Photography, one of San Diego's top photographers. While predominantly a wedding photographer, I specialize in shooting anything involving people, whether it be corporate events, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, headshots, parties, baby portraits, family portraits, pregnancy portraits and senior portraits (that's high school seniors, not senior citizens - though I guess I'd shoot them as well). As a wedding photographer, my style has been described as a combination of wedding photojournalism (also known as "documentary style" or "reportage") and relaxed modern portraiture. Over the past 10 years as a wedding photographer I have shot weddings all over the world. While I'm always open to shooting destination weddings, my focus is on shooting weddings in the San Diego area. Since we moved down here two years ago, I've had the privilege of working with San Diego's top wedding coordinators, party planners, florists, bands, dj's, videographers, and venues. Portraits are my other passion and while I'm happy to do studio portraits, my specialty is in location portraiture with a more candid feel. Sometimes this means photographing you in your home, or perhaps we might shoot on one of San Diego's many great portrait locations such as Balboa Park, Wind-n-sea Beach in La Jolla, Doggie Beach in Del Mar, San Dieguito Park, the Del Mar Plaza, the lighthouse in Point Loma, or any number of other great locations.
